Case Study

Fabrica Carioca de Catalisadores

Solution

FCC decided to upgrade to Software House’s C•CURE 9000 Access Control Solution. The decision was based on the fact that the new C•CURE 9000 offers numerous benefits including an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI), reliable technology, compliance with IT policies and requirements, and the ability to easily create numerous types of reports. But perhaps the most important factor in the decision was the ability to fully integrate the C•CURE 9000 with FCC’s existing Intellex Digital Video Management system.

Problem

Based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Fabrica Carioca de Catalisadores (FCC) is a joint venture that joins the tradition and know-how of two world giants of the oil and petrochemical areas, Petrobras and Albemarle Corporation. When FCC decided to upgrade the security system at its 44-acre Brazilian headquarters, the company worked with Tyco to integrate new access control and video management products, which ultimately resulted in an easier-to-use, more robust security system.
