Case Study
O2 Arena
The O2 arena in London is a state-of-the-art indoor music and entertainment destination that can accommodate 23,000 people and is the world’s busiest music venue. In a space so vast and densely occupied, it was crucial to have highly sophisticated security and fire protection.
Tyco collaborated with the arena to determine a security solution that was both discreet and effective. Tyco also designed a fire detection system that could operate in an environment housing a 650,000-watt sound system and where advanced pyrotechnic, light, and atmospheric displays were regularly performed.
This case study details those solutions, such as Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) and a CCTV system, and how Tyco was able to manage installation of the systems on a tight schedule.
