Tyco’s community investments are working in locations around the globe. By listening to the needs of each business, its community and stakeholders, Tyco ensures that its grants are relevant and responsive.

In 2005, Tyco won the New Jersey Corporate Philanthropy Award for Social Welfare from the Community Foundation of New Jersey for its innovative approach to local philanthropy in the Princeton, NJ area. By first meeting with and listening to stakeholders, including local nonprofits, Tyco determined that homelessness and housing were the primary area requiring its involvement. A major three-year initiative was subsequently launched by Tyco to address homelessness.

Three primary focus areas guide Tyco’s community support: Life Safety, Education and the Environment with a focus on clean water. The following are a few of the ways that Tyco plays a vital role in its communities.
