ADT Commercial to Offer Remote, Interactive Services Solution for Customers

ADT Commercial, a unit of Tyco International and the industry’s leading security systems integrator in North America, has announced its new interactive services solution, ADT Pulse. Currently being trial tested, ADT Pulse is scheduled for a soft launch this fall with a national rollout set for early next year.

ADT Pulse will provide commercial customers with remote connectivity that gives them the ability to interact with their businesses from virtually anywhere at any time to better manage operations.

Rhonda Drennan, owner of Priority Rentals in Richardson, Texas is currently testing ADT Pulse to help manage her business, which employs about 50 people.

“Whether it’s remotely checking to make sure the alarm was activated at night or using the cameras to see who is coming into the building, I use ADT Pulse all the time,” says Drennan. “I am so impressed with this new technology that I now want to have ADT Pulse installed in my home so I know what’s going on there while I am at work.”

Once ADT Pulse is available nationwide, ADT Commercial customers will be able to remotely manage their businesses and other operations via any web-enabled device like a laptop or smart phone. Capabilities include:

• Remote arm/disarm of security system

• Receive text alerts based on notification requirements

• Monitor employee productivity through remote video

• Alarm verification

• Manage multiple locations simultaneously

“Another important benefit will be controlling utilities, including lights and thermostats, which help improve our customer’s bottom-line profits,” says Dan Schroeder, ADT vice president of Commercial Sales. “There’s also monitoring for water damage and to make sure refrigeration requirements are maintained, a critical capability for many food-related businesses.”

ADT Pulse is backed up by ADT’s extensive, best-in-class monitoring centers that collectively handle about 33 million signals each year.

The rollout of ADT Pulse for commercial customers follows the success of a similar solution for ADT residential and small business customers. Launched in North America a year ago, ADT Pulse has exceeded business performance expectations and is drawing favorable reviews from customers.

“Leveraging the recognition of the ADT Pulse brand and the excellent reputation it has gained over the past year makes smart business sense,” says Schroeder. “We are excited about the possibilities.”
