Tyco takes the safety, health and well-being of our employees very seriously. In 2010, the company launched a new vision for employee safety and environmental protection: "zero harm to people and the environment." The company has created a comprehensive environment, health and safety management system and global standards and programs to support this vision. Training is a key element and, in 2010, we offered hundreds of environment, health and safety online courses to supplement the classroom and field training sessions at manufacturing plants and field service locations.

Employees at the plant, here represented by the safety culture team, have worked safely for 2 million hours—the equivalent of five-and-a-half years. The Anniston plant is a foundry where Grinnell™ brand mechanical products such as couplings, gaskets and cast fittings are made.
